Canadian International Council Event – International Education at a Cross-Roads in Canada

How will Canada’s growing success in attracting international students be affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and global geopolitical tensions?

Canada is now the third largest destination for international students.  Attracting foreign students is recognized as an important dimension of Canada’s international relations, bringing short and long-term benefits.  The Covid-19 pandemic has created major challenges for educational institutions and disrupted international travel.   On September 22, the Canadian International Council (CIC), the national non-partisan international affairs forum, will offer a virtual program, “International Education at a Cross-Roads in Canada”, featuring the Canadian Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, Marco Mendocino, post-secondary education leaders, a co-founder of a Canada-based technology company helps international students connect with educational institutions, and former international student who studied in Canada.

September 22, 2020, from 4:00 to 5:30 pm – Free of Charge
